On September 20th and 27th all parishioners interested in plant material on the grounds of St PiusX to be transplanted in your own gardens, YOU ARE INVITED.
Please bring shovels, tarps, large containers and buckets, gloves, pruners and anything else you may need to dig up these gorgeous plants.
We will be meeting at 9am both days and will go over what plants are available for transplanting. It is a good idea to have a hole dug at your residence before bringing church plants home. Transplants need good composted soil, mulch, the correct location (sun/shade), water and possibly an application of rooting hormone to stimulate quick root growth.
There is a great deal of liriope that can be saved. This is a great plant for slopes and erosion control. English ivy, azaleas, rhododendrons, indian hawthorn, hydrangeas, iris, nandinas, camellias, hosta, crape myrtles, hollies, cypress, leucothoe, carolina jessamine, magnolias, creeping jenny are to name a few plants existing.
Poison Ivy is also onsite and will be located for you.
I will see you then
Happy Planting! www.dianadigsdirt.com
